Burningbright is the Environmental Engineer for the starship Phoenix, which shi joined with hir lifemates Hotfoot and Zelkie Sandblossom, whom shi met in high school and formally mated when they graduated. While sociable like chakats normally are, shi likes to work by hirself. Shi is mother to Lemondrop, and sire to Candycane. Hir classic tiger pattern inspired hir name derived form the poem by William Blake that begins,
"Tiger, tiger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night..."
