GOLDEN GLEAM

Golden Gleam is a pegasus stallion Royal Guard.

Golden Gleam is a fairly unremarkable but competent Royal Guard, but what makes him unusual is that he used to be a mare. She had gender dysphoria – a male born into a female's body. However, this did not stop her from pursuing a career as a Royal Guard. One day, after her squad had been sent into the Everfree Forest to stop or rescue foolish ponies who were trying to duplicate Prince Mark Wells's accidental feat of being turned into a duplicate of Princess Celestia by exposure to poison joke, she was contaminated by the blue flower. The next morning, she had changed sex and was now a stallion. When Mark encountered Golden later that morning and learned that the mare he knew was now male and preferred to stay that way, he gave Golden a day off to celebrate.

Golden Gleam adjusted rapidly to his change and it was not long before he gained a marefriend. Several months later, they were married and she got pregnant, bearing them a son.
