PRINCE MARK WELLS

Mark Wells is an alicorn stallion with a green coat and blond mane & tail. His cutie mark is a thundercloud pierced by a lightning bolt. However, before he ascended, he was a mere pegasus, and before that, a human.

Mark accidentally fell through an enchanted mirror that served as a portal to Equestria where he was transformed into a pegasus by the adaptation spell set on the portal. Arriving in an unilluminated room and not realizing that he was now a pony, he tried to stand on his hind legs, overbalanced, and broke the receiving portal mirror, stranding him in Equestria. He was taken to meet the ruler of this nation – Princess Trixie who presented herself as an alicorn. Spotting her as a fake, he made an alliance with her and she appointed him as her Grand Vizier.

Despite being a pegasus, Mark had no idea how to fly and was nervous about heights due to his clumsy nature. Trixie assigned a stallion to him named Steady Flight to serve as his valet and flight instructor. Mark's attempts to learn resulted in many disastrous crashes, including into another pegasus, Airy Words.

A foolish nibble on poison joke flower caused Mark to change into an exact physical copy of Princess Celestia, aside from the cutie mark. Despite having a horn now, she had zero unicorn magic. However, she was absolutely masterful in flight, attracting the attention and interest of Rainbow Dash. Between the cure for the poison joke and further exposures, Mark could take on the mare form whenever he wanted. Rarity Belle asked him to model some fashions that she designed to suit Celestia. Mark agreed and found she enjoyed the experience. The two continued this partnership, holding regular fashion shows. Some months later, after getting virtually drowned in magic, he gained the ability to switch between his normal form and Marklestia at will, and her horn became functional. Mark was still only a pegacorn though.

Although several mares were interested in him, it was Princess Trixie that Mark finally chose to ask to marry him, thus making him a Prince of Equestria, equivalent in ruling status to his wife and Princess Twilight Sparkle.

Trixie became pregnant not long after, bearing them a unique foal whom they named Gemini. Some years later, they had a unicorn filly they named Allura, and their most recent child is a pegacorn colt called Spotlight.

Upon Trixie's urging, Mark took Rarity as a second herdmare (the legal equivalent of another wife after the original). After accidentally getting pregnant in the anthro pony world, Rarity bears them an anthro unicorn filly they name Pearl Belle.

Mark's batpony bodyguard, Penumbra, asked him to sire a foal for her, but he would only do so if she joined his herd. She agreed and became his third herdmare, soon bearing him a son called Verdant Wells.

Equestria had several clashes with the changeling queen Chrysalis. She and Mark initially had a rough relationship while she was being held in the Canterlot Castle dungeon, but with the help of Chryssy, a benevolent alternate universe version of Chrysalis, and others, the queen's viewpoint changed. Due to some unwise words on Mark's part and a cunning political move by her, she petitioned Trixie to allow her to join Mark's herd. Mark nevertheless took his role as Chrysalis' mate seriously and inseminated her. She produced an egg which hatched a royal nymph whom they name Diadem. Mark's relationship with the queen dramatically improved to the point where he genuinely loved her. He fertilized every egg that Chrysalis laid, and thus is the sire of every changeling in the new Canterlot Hive, including the novel Companion Class 'lings such as Lacewing and Vectrix After Diadem reached maturity, Mark and Chrysalis have two more royal nymphs, the first named Sybilla and the second named Esperanza.

Mark's fifth herdmare is Celestia, Alicorn of the Sun and former Diarch of Equestria. After a forced retirement due to her inadvertant absence from the nation for over a year, Celestia grew more interested in pursuing a relationship within a herd. She and Mark got along extremely well and, with Trixie's blessing this time, she asked Mark to be her stallion. They have yet to have a foal together, but as they are both unaging alicorns, they know that they have plenty of time to find the right moment to do so.

During exploration of alternate universes, Mark's team rescued that world's Alicorn of the Moon, Luna Selene from a terrible mistake that had her trapped in an endless time loop. Ecstatic from being freed and smitten with the male alicorn she saw as being responsible for that, she immediately hit on Mark, offering to give him many foals. While Mark tried to gently deter her, she nevertheless persisted, so instead he spent time with Luna, showing her his family, interests, and their passions. A proper relationship is built and Mark's wives agree that she would make a good addition to the herd. Mere days after becoming his sixth herdmare, she was pregnant with their first foal.

Mark adopted a young male griffon named Gallus who grew up to marry the dragoness Smolder which made her Mark's daughter-in-law. Mark also sired a foal with Applejack as a favor to Rainbow Dash. The earth pony filly she gave birth to was named Orchard Breeze. A couple of years later, he sired another, this time resulting in an earth pony colt named Suncrisp Apple.

Years later, Mark discovered that his best pony friend, Steady Flight, had fallen in love with his mare alter ego, Marklestia. Rarity convinced Mark to give Steady a chance and agreed to go out on some dates with him. Over the course of three days, Steady managed to awaken Mark's full marehood by his keen understanding of her personality, wants, and needs. She fell in love with him and asked him to be her stallion and join her herd, which he accepted. Having decided to take her female self more seriously, Mark permanently dropped the the nickname of Marklestia and decided on a permanent default mare form which is a younger version of Celestia when she was about Luna's size, and her mane had only just changed from pink to its auroral colors, albeit shorter and not ethereal. In future, whenever Mark takes her new mare form, she will always be Her Royal Highness Princess Mark Wells.

Mark has several counterparts in various alternate universes including an anthro pegasus stallion, a unicorn stallion, a male griffon, and pegasus mare.
