SAFFRON MASALA

Saffron is a unicorn mare from the Equian sub-continent. She and her father, Coriander Cumin, moved to Canterlot to open a restaurant featuring Indian style foods that she was an expert at cooking. However, the restaurant was not getting patrons due to the lack of rating by Zesty Gourmand, a unicorn mare who had a stranglehold on the dining scene in Restaurant Row. It was not until Prince Mark Wells and Starlight Glimmer cooperated to bring the restaurant to the attention of the public and override the perception that the business needed a rating from Zesty that the Tasty Treat became one of the most popular venues in Canterlot.
