YONA

Yona is a female yak and was one of the first students at Twilight Sparkle's School of Friendship. At the school she met up and made friends with Ocellus, Gallus, Silverstream, Sandbar, and Smolder.

Yona's culture clash with much of the other students tended to isolate her, but due to Sandbar's constant support and understanding, she learned how to fit in without compromising her principles. This caused her to gain a crush on the earth pony and the feelings were not unappreciated by him. She does have a friendly rivalry with Silverstream for his affections though.

Yona and her five friends were instrumental in preventing the theft of all Equestrian magic due to Cozy Glow's machinations.

After graduation, Yona sought and received an apprenticeship with Rarity to follow her dream of creating fashion like her idol. She now calls Ponyville her home.
