PRINCESS “CHRYSSY” CHRYSALIS

Chryssy is a royal Crystal Changeling of an alternate universe that Mark Wells and Twilight Sparkle encountered while bouncing around worlds due to Starlight Glimmer's attempts to change history.

While Chrysalis is her proper name, she is almost universally called Chryssy because of the relationships she formed in pony society. She had come into power at a very young age when her mother died unexpectedly. Unfortunately, her hive was slowly dying due to many factors that resulted in a severe decline in the love harvest. In desperation, after hearing about the new Alicorn of Love, Chryssy, sought out a private audience with Princess Cadence. In a deal worked out with her and Princess Celestia, Chryssy agreed to stay in Canterlot and learn how to rule wisely and interact peacefully with other species, and Cadance would spend some time in the hive replenish their love supplies. As Chryssy and Cadance were of similar age, they went to school together while a regent minded the hive. The two grew into very close friends and, when they both fell for the handsome young stallion, Shining Armor, they joined forces to get him to be their coltfriend.

After they graduated, Shining proposed and they accepted. He went off to Royal Guard Academy while Chryssy and Cadance took up royal duties. The three got married after Shining was promoted to Captain of the Guard and he had the rank to satisfy the nobles who did not want to see the princesses marry below their station. When the Crystal Empire reappeared, the three were sent there by Celestia to take the throne. After dealing with Sombra, Chryssy's hive was relocated to the Empire and they started a family. While Cadance has had a filly, Chryssy has had several royal nymphs sired by Shining, not to mention a slew of drones to rebuild the hive's population.

After Mark Wells and Twilight Sparkle encountered them and eventually returned to their proper universe, they established a permanent portal to Chryssy's world. Mark would later ask her for help dealing with Queen Chrysalis. Chryssy paid a visit to the queen to show her the benefits of cooperating with the Crown rather than fighting it, and how her personal life would greatly improve too.
